Omg, it was so beautiful! I asked if it was okay to roam the garden, and that place is massive! It's so wild how beautiful it is! I arranged for their free shuttle bus to pick me up at the station, but I wish I would've known that the bus stop was an option, so I would have had them pick me up there instead. They greeted me politey when I arrived, and they had English front desk attendants to help me out. There was virtually no one in the halls or the onsen. My room had free busicuits and tea, and a free water bottle. They also have room service and drinks in the mini fridge for a price. My room was on the bottom level, and when I opened the screen doors, all the koi fish came. There's food 2 min across the street if you didn't add the dinner option. The breakfast was amazing. I chose breakfast to be served at 7am. They had soft boiled eggs and natto in the fridge for you to grab. The ladies serving my breakfast tried their best to explain with my Google Translate. I recommend giving this place a chance.

We went for just one night at the end of our 2nd week in Japan. The service culture was excellent - the staff treated us like guests and were very friendly and keen to help. We really enjoyed meeting our guide. The food that was served at dinner and breakfast was incredibly authentic and high quality, they used very fresh ingredients. I had told them in advance that I wouldn't eat seafood and they accomodated this by giving me more vegetable and meat options. It is fun to wear the Yukata. The public bathing area is beautiful as well, we used it twice! Overall it is a great atmosphere and feels very cultural; since much of Japan is now westernising/modernising, coming to a place like this is probably up there with the most traditional culture you can hope to experience. The garden is nice to walk around in and feeding the koi is lots of fun. At the end of our stay we felt like all of the stress and tension from the last two weeks of being busy and constantly on-the-go had just melted away.

I was an absolute awe at the beauty of this place. Very traditional ryokan stay with a touch of elegance that you feel from the moment you walk in. Koi ponds were everywhere. The gardens were very beautiful. Very calming and quiet area. The room was absolutely huge and exceeding all my expectations. They even provided green tea and snacks inside room. The hot springs were so wonderful. We had private one in room that was so perfect. The place was perfect for our last night in Tokyo. They even have a shuttle car to nearest station ( 15 min walk) The breakfast was SO good and traditional style in the morning. Breakfast and Dinner are served in a dining hall with overview of garden. I wish I wasn't so sick to have enjoyed more of the breakfast. I never wanted to leave this place.

Beautiful ryokan with a big amazing garden with rocks, plants, trees, streams and carps (really remarkable). Beautiful room, very spacious and clean. We had the room with the private onsen, very nice, and view on the garden. Delicious breakfast and dinner, thoughtfully presented and curated to the smallest details. Very nice public onsen with indoor and outdoor pools. Great staff, very helpful and kind. It was an extremely pleasant stay, I wish we had spent more nights there. I would absolutely recommend it!

Giulia

Staff were exceptionally friendly. While most could only speak a little english, they carry around translators to help. The grounds were breathtaking and fun to walk and explore. Onsen was so relaxing. Dinner and breakfast was also a great experience with a large variety of traditional japanese foods. It was fun to taste things outside of the mainstream japanese tourist fare.
